new version 2.1.7 released

Please note: The new copy&paste feature requires PuTTY >= 0.71. Because PuTTY 0.71 wasn't released yet, you'll have to wait until it gets released or use the snapshot build.

Changelog
  • New feature: There is now a more convenient way to copy&paste by using a context menu, which opens up on right mouse button click (Preferences-> Terminal-> Copy&Paste). Requires PuTTY >= 0.71
  • Added an option "Prevent Windows from entering sleep mode" under Preferences -> General (thanks to Serge  S.)

  1. As I mentioned in the FAQ, I would like to inform you about a missing functionality in the software. For some of my servers, but not all of them, it is necessary that Putty connects via an HTTP proxy. I cannot access this setting using the command line parameters. Is there a possibility to integrate this setting in WinSSHTerm? Thank you for your support

I've also been thinking about how to make it easier to tunnel ports in WinSSHTerm. But I haven't found an idea yet.

    1. Hello Frank,

it is possible to implement the http proxy, I already have an idea how to do it. I'm not sure when it will be released - maybe in version 2.3
