I think it's good it got freebie. But why don't you go ahead and release the source code. As an open source project, many developers could help you. Currently you are not paid so much for your good software anymore and could outsource some work.
That's all it takes for someone to fork it and make a clone out of it with a fancier name splitting the devs between projects. Might as well work on it while freeware until it gets popular enough to charge for support license, cloud storage services or something like that.
